Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, is seeking applications for the position of Adjunct Piano Instructor in the Department of Performing Arts and Mass Communication. The department offers B.F.A. degrees in Performing Arts in Performance with concentrations in Theatre and Musical Theatre. Southern Arkansas University is the fastest growing-university in Arkansas and is located in Magnolia in the southwestern part of the state.
Duties: Instruct undergraduate students by teaching applied piano lessons and the class piano rotation (Class Piano I, II, III and IV; accompany instrumental music majors on recital performances and other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy, or Collaborative Piano required; have experience in teaching class piano and applied piano lessons for both music majors and non-music majors at the college/university level within a liberal arts context; must have experience accompanying instrumental students, specifically on standard woodwind and brass solo literature.
