Duties: operate a 30 passenger bus to the University; read maps, plan travel routes and schedules; make routine checks and inspections of bus and equipment for proper operation, safety, and maintenance; coordinate any special requirements or considerations necessary for making trips with appropriate personnel; maintain schedules for the operation of bus and regular maintenance requirements; maintain records of bus use, travel logs and prepare reports of operations; provide security for the bus on overnight trips and attend driving courses as needed and/or required and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: drivers must have a current CDL with endorsements necessary to drive a 30 passenger bus; a physical within the past 12 months and a 5 year driving history is required. Drivers will be required to fill out and submit standard DOT application requirements and drug testing. SAU has a broad range of driving requirements to include local less than one day events to multi-day out of state events. All SAU employees are expected to demonstrate excellence in interpersonal behaviors and be committed to effective collaboration with colleagues.
