Dr. Donna Allen has been at Southern Arkansas University for 32 years. She has served as the director of the Counseling & Testing Center, associate professor of education in counseling, and as graduate dean prior to her position as vice president for student affairs. The vice president for student affairs is also the retention coordinator for the University.

The programs and services within the division of student affairs become part of a continuing growth experience which promote student development by encouraging positive, realistic self-appraisal, intellectual development, appropriate personal and occupational choices, clarification of values, physical fitness and wellness, the ability to relate meaningfully with others, the capacity to engage in a personally satisfying and effective style of living, to understand leadership in order to work interdependently and independently.
