AAS-SAU Research Assistant Carl Carlson-Drexler will be teaching a new course at Southern Arkansas University in the Spring 2013 semester–Geographic Information Systems.
Any discipline that involves fieldwork, from biology to archaeology to sociology to agricultural science will benefit from the ability to map data in two and three dimensional space using geographic information system. This course will be heavily hands-on and focus on familiarizing students with ArcGIS 10.x, the industry-standard GIS software.
