Whether entering college at a later time in life or as a traditional student, many students need academic preparation and assistance to succeed in college. The Division of Transitional Studies is dedicated to assisting students with the transition into college-level academic coursework.

It is our mission to provide an opportunity for academically at-risk students to excel.
Purpose:
The purpose the Transitional Studies Division is to help academically under-prepared students succeed in college and to provide students with an opportunity to meet state requirements for entry into college coursework based on placement requirements.
Division Goals:
- Develop effective and innovative pathways for students to complete preparatory coursework.
- Provide motivated students with accelerated pathways to complete preparatory coursework.
- Build partnerships with area public schools to address academic needs of area college-bound students.
- Encourage and participate in the exploration of innovative methods to reduce the number of traditional students entering college under-prepared.
