Admission Criteria
Undergraduate Criteria for Unconditional Admission
Candidates must meet all unconditional admission requirements to begin their year-long residency. Candidates may be admitted in fall, spring, or summer terms.
- Minimum 30 credit hours completed from an accredited institution of higher education
- A grade of C or better in Intro to Education
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 in previous coursework from an accredited institution of higher education
- Proof of basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics
*work with your advisor on proof of basic skills - Proof of approved FBI Background Check and Child Maltreatment Registry Check
- Completion of a Professional Competencies Self-Assessment
*There is a possibility of conditional admission if a candidate does not meet all unconditional admission criteria.

Apply for Admission
To begin Educator Preparation courses, candidates must be admitted to the SAU Educator Preparation Provider. Undergraduate candidates should work closely with their education advisor to know the appropriate time to apply. MAT candidates should apply immediately upon applying to SAU.
