Learn all the basics of English horseback riding this July in a course offered at Southern Arkansas University’s Story Arena through SAU’s Division of Continuing Education.
Alan Shaw is the instructor for the course, and the class size is limited to three students per session. The class will meet each Tuesday from July 8-22, with sessions at 9-10 a.m. and at 10:15-11:15 a.m. The fee for the course is $125.

English-style riding is a style that originated in Europe, but is popular throughout the world. This class will focus on learning the basics of English riding: safety, grooming, dressage, proper mounting and dismounting, and so much more.
Riding skills and equine knowledge will be built up from week to week, assuring a well-rounded foundation in riding. Each student is responsible for his or her own equipment.
