Multi-Factor Authentication

Southern Arkansas University has partnered with Cisco Duo to provide two-factor authentication for all faculty, staff, and students.  To ensure security compliance, Multi-factor Authentication (abbreviated MFA or 2FA) is required for access to SAU technology systems.

Signing up

Step 1: 

Install Duo Mobile on your supported smartphone device.

You will need a smartphone running at least Android 11.0 or Apple iOS 16.0.  If your device does not meet this requirement, please contact the ITS Helpdesk (helpdesk@saumag.edu) for assistance and additional options.

Step 2: 

 Visit mfa.saumag.edu and log in with your campus Microsoft credentials.  You will be prompted to add a device through a short enrollment wizard.  Once you are done, that’s it!  Anytime you log into SAU systems, you may be prompted to use dual factor.
