Excuse Note Policy
The UHS does not issue notes to students for missing class to come to the clinic unless they are running a fever, have a documented episode of vomiting or diarrhea while at the clinic, or have had an accident requiring immediate treatment.
The clinic nurse reserves the right to issue a note at her discretion.
Students are advised to contact the appropriate professor, instructor, coach, or supervisors if they need to miss class or practice due to an illness or injury.
Students are encouraged to make mature decisions when they are too ill to attend class or practice. All decisions concerning the impact of an absence, as well as any arrangements for making up work, rest with the professors, instructors, or coaches.
