The non-degree program leading to licensure as a superintendent of schools is an eighteen (18) credit hour online program. Applicants to the program must hold a master’s degree and meet program admissions requirements. The program consists of the following courses:

Internship Requirement
Master’s degree and licensure candidates must complete a minimum number of courses and practicum hours in the approved plan of study. Candidates must apply for and receive approval to enroll in an administrative or superintendent’s internship course. Students must complete an internship application and submit it to their advisor.
Portfolio Requirement
Master’s degree and licensure candidates must prepare and satisfactorily defend a program portfolio based on the appropriate national and state licensure standards for an administrative license. Candidates must satisfactorily complete the portfolio requirement and pass the oral portfolio defense prior to graduation and/or application for licensure.
