Southern Arkansas University is committed to student success and strives to help students reach their goal of earning a college degree. The College Board publication Education Pays 2019: The Benefits of Higher Education for Individuals and Society highlighted a strong correlation between higher education and larger earnings, better job opportunities, and various social benefits.
Finish the Ride is an academic initiative at SAU that centers around helping students with degree completion. It is for students who have taken a break from higher education. The University never wants to see students leave without a diploma in hand, but understands that life happens. Once students have stepped away, it can be challenging to know where to start when returning to school. Finish the Ride will provide students with support through the reapplication process, financial aid, and advising.
