OER Textbook and Grant Informational Session

SAU Faculty-
The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), in collaboration with Magale Library and Academic Affairs, invites you to an informational session about adopting and aligning Open Educational Resources (OER) and applying for our upcoming OER Faculty Mini-Grant. OER (Open Educational Resources) are free, openly licensed course materials that can replace traditional textbooks without the traditional pricetag. These resources can include textbooks, readings, videos, problem sets, and other instructional materials that students can access at no or low-cost at any time. Beyond removing financial barriers for students, OER allows faculty flexibility to adapt and customize materials to better align with course learning outcomes. The grant application opens March 3, and this session will walk through OER basics, grant eligibility, expectations, and support available for faculty interested in adopting OER in their courses.
