Excellence in Teaching Symposium

We invite all faculty to join us for a day of teaching, learning, and discussion at the Fall 2025 Excellence in Teaching Symposium. The symposium will be held on Aug. 14th from 9:00-12:00pm and 1:00-4:00pm in Blanchard Hall on the 2nd Floor. This year’s theme—Teaching Forward: Advancing Engagement, Accessibility, and Sustainability—reflects our commitment to inclusive, innovative, and sustainable teaching practices that support both student success and faculty wellbeing. We will offer a variety of presentations, including those focused on:
- Interaction and Discussion in Online Learning
- Academic Integrity
- Course Accessibility and Learning Accommodations
- Mental Health and Wellness
- Course Design for Open Educational Resources (OER)
- Writing Effective Proposals for University Research Funding
- Cross-Discipline Panel Discussions over Student Travel and Student-Driven Research
