Supporting SAU’s mission of student success, digital badges provide a verified way to recognize and showcase skills gained through experiential learning and campus employment.

What is a Digital Badge?

A digital badge represents a specific skill, competency, or achievement. Each badge includes metadata that creates a verifiable record of accomplishment, allowing employers and organizations to confirm:

• Who issued the badge
• Who earned it
• The criteria required to earn it
• Date earned
• Evidence or documentation

Easy to Receive and Share

Badges are issued directly to students via email and can be shared on social media, résumés, and digital portfolios—making it easy to highlight verified skills and experiences.
