Mulerider Marching Band
About the MMB
The Southern Arkansas University Mulerider Marching Band (MMB) is a renowned marching band recognized for its creative drill design and engaging musical performances. Rehearsals begin on campus the week before classes start, combining focused daytime music and marching sessions with evening social activities that help members quickly feel at home.
Throughout the fall semester, the MMB proudly represents Southern Arkansas University at all home Mulerider football games, select away games, bowl appearances, and marching exhibitions or competitions. Rehearsals are held from 3:30–5:00 PM every Monday through Thursday, plus Friday if it is a game week, with no additional outside rehearsal requirements.
With nearly 200 members, the MMB welcomes students from every major across campus to be part of its sound and spirit.
The Director of the MMB is J.P. Wilson.
The Assistant Director is Dr. Andrew Ortega.
