University to offer special Russian lecture series
MAGNOLIA, ARK – A special series of Russian lectures has been scheduled for this fall at Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia.
Visiting Russian professor, Dr. Pervezentseva Oksana from the Moscow State Pedagogical University, will speak in a series of five lectures. The first lecture, “Russian Customs and Traditions” will be held on Monday, Sept. 12.

The Greek Amphitheatre on the campus of Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the country’s official list of historically significant properties.

College of Business at SAU names outstanding student
The College of Business at Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, named Casey Plumley as its Outstanding Student for the 2004-05 academic year.
Plumley earned her B.B.A. in accounting and finance with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
During her time at SAU, Plumley has received membership in the Alpha Chi Honor Society and the Sigma Beta Delta International
College of Education at SAU names Outstanding Student
The College of Education at Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, named Janis Duncan as its Outstanding Student for the 2004-05 academic Year.
Duncan received a degree in early childhood education in December 2004.

Six students were recently recognized as outstanding students by their departments in the College of Liberal and Performing Arts at Southern Arkansas University.
Donika Ross, an English major from Magnolia, was named the Outstanding Student for the entire College. She was also the Outstanding Student from the Department of English and Foreign Languages.
