Department of Nursing at SAU receives award
The Department of Nursing at Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, was one of four nursing programs to receive a $3,750 donation from the Minden Medical Center and its owner, LifePoint.
Also receiving awards were Louisiana Tech University, Grambling State University, and Northwest Louisiana Vocational Technical College.

GTEDC Board of Directors approves resolutions
The Golden Triangle Economic Development Council passed an important resolution supporting Amendment One at a monthly board of directors meeting recently held in Hampton. Amendment One will be on the Nov. 7, election ballot.
