Doug Waterfield, assistant professor of art at Southern Arkansas University, recently signed a contract for representation with the Cox Creative Gallery in Little Rock.
“I am excited to be working with the Cox Creative Gallery,” said Waterfield. “It will be great to have a regular venue in which to display and sell my work.”
Dr. Yonghu Dai, assistant professor of Spanish at Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, published a bilingual anthology (Spanish and Chinese) of the Nicaraguan poet Ruben Dario.
Dai started his research and translation on Dario when he was a graduate student at Peking University in China. He wrote a thesis on the Nicaraguan poet for his master’s degree
Todd Flanagan knew what he wanted to do when he grew up from an early age; he just wasn’t sure how to achieve his goal.

The creative dramatics class at Southern Arkansas University will present two plays for children at 2 p.m. on Sunday,Dec. 11, on the stage of Harton Theater on the University campus.
Students will perform “Mary’s Lamb” and “The Clowns’Christmas.”
