SAU students earn prizes in poster contest
Five students were recently recognized by the Department of English and Foreign Languages at Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, for placing in the poster contest held in honor of Foreign Language Month.
The theme for this year’s poster contest was “Languages Bring Cultures Together.”
All students currently enrolled in a French or Spanish course at SAU were eligible
SAU students attend international conference
Eight students from the Epsilon Theta chapter of Sigma Tau Delta at Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, attended the international English honor society’s conference in Portland, Oregon. Also attending was Dr. Shannin Schroeder, faculty sponsor, and one alumnus.
Submissions by the students to the conference included academic essays, poetry, and short fiction. Several of the students chaired
