Southern Arkansas University is gearing up for its annual spring concert featuring rap powerhouse Waka Flocka Flame, with DJ Koldwrld as the opening act. Gates open at 6:00 p.m., with DJ Koldwrld taking the stage at 7:00 p.m. and Waka Flocka Flame headlining the night beginning at 8:00 p.m. in SAU’s Story Arena.
Admission is free for SAU students, faculty, and staff. Tickets for the general public are available for $50 each at www.saumag.edu/springconcert.
For safety and security, bags, purses, and backpacks are not permitted. Outside food, drinks, bottles, or alcoholic beverages are also prohibited.
“Our goal is to create an unforgettable experience for our students and the entire Magnolia community,” said Andrew Graydon, SAU student engagement coordinator. “Bringing an artist like Waka Flocka Flame to Story Arena continues our tradition of high-energy performances while giving students the chance to come together and celebrate the end of the academic year in a big way.”

Originally introduced as part of Southern Arkansas University’s 2009 centennial celebration, the spring concert series has grown into a longstanding campus tradition, featuring a diverse lineup of nationally recognized artists. Previous performers include former SAU student and country music standout Tracy Lawrence, as well as Eric Hutchison, Sean Kingston, Thompson Square, DJ Pauly D, Jesse McCartney, Cupid, Casey Donahew Band, Turnpike Troubadours, Koe Wetzel, Wale, JoJo, We the Kings, JB and the Moonshine Band, Josh Abbott Band, and Ty Myers.
