Southern Arkansas University and University Housing are thrilled to bring back the Columbia County Angeltree program, a beloved tradition designed to spread holiday cheer to families in need. This year, the program aims to support over 340 children and 134 underprivileged families across Columbia County.
Whether you choose to sponsor a child or family or contribute financially, your generosity will bring smiles to those who need it most.
- Adopt an Angel
Choose an Angel to sponsor by visiting saumag.edu/available. While there’s no minimum spending requirement, we recommend budgeting $50-75 per child to provide meaningful gifts. For families, equal attention to each child’s gifts is encouraged. Wrapping isn’t required, but including a roll of wrapping paper is a thoughtful way to help parents add their personal touch. - Give a Monetary Donation
Prefer to let someone else handle the shopping? Donate any amount, and SAU Housing will ensure your contribution goes directly toward gifts for a child or family. Donations can be made online at saumag.edu/angel-tree-donation.
The Angeltree supports children from infancy to age 13. Sponsors will receive details about their Angel’s age, gender, clothing sizes, and holiday wish list. This program not only helps families in need but also boosts the local economy by encouraging community members to shop locally.
All gifts must be delivered to Nelson Hall, Room 115, by Thursday, December 12, at 5:00 p.m. If you have questions or need assistance, contact SAU Housing at (870) 235-4047.
This holiday season, make a difference in the lives of children and families in Columbia County.
