Southern Arkansas University Board of Trustees met today to discuss personnel changes during the transition phase of the SAU presidential position following the resignation of Dr. Trey Berry.
After calling the meeting to order, board members immediately went into executive session. Upon return from the session, Nate Evers made the motion to request a proposal from a search firm to hire SAU’s next president. Monty Harrington seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. Erica Woods, board chair, noted that no further action would be taken at this time and thanked everyone for their attendance. The meeting was adjourned.
SAU is committed to maintaining transparency throughout the process of interviewing and hiring the next university president. Updates to the SAU community and the public will be provided regarding the search progression under the leadership of the Board of Trustees.
