Former NYPD officer and U.S. Secret Service agent Dan Bongino is scheduled to present at the 15th annual Farmers Bank & Trust Distinguished Speaker Series on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at the Donald W. Bongino is a New York Times best-selling author, the host of the top-rated “The Dan Bongino Show” podcast and a Fox News contributor. His public service career began with the NYPD in 1995. After joining the U.S. Secret Service in 1999, he received a Department of Justice award for his many successful investigations while assigned to a financial fraud task-force.
In 2006, Bongino joined the elite Presidential Protective Division during the administration of President George W. Bush. He became one of the earliest tenured agents to be given responsibility for an operational section of the presidential detail, and he remained on protective duty with President Obama.
His assignments included the coordination of Obama’s visits to Prague, Jakarta, amongst a myriad of terror threats, and finally as the lead agent responsible for Obama’s visit to an active war zone in Afghanistan.
Proceeds from this annual event fund an endowment that provides annual scholarships to deserving students who are building their future by obtaining their education at SAU.
A private reception will be held with Bongino at 5:15 p.m. at the Farmers Bank & Trust main bank in Magnolia. After the reception, Dan will host a book signing of his soon-to-be-released title Exonerated: The Failed Takedown of President Donald Trump by the Swamp at 6 p.m. at the SAU Bookstore. Books may be purchased at the SAU Bookstore during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or at the book signing. The dinner and lecture will follow at 7 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the Reynolds Center.

A Gold Sponsorship, $2,000, includes 10 tickets to the dinner, lecture and private reception, premium seating, and name displayed in the program and on the table.
A Blue Sponsorship, $800, includes eight tickets for the dinner and lecture, two tickets for the private reception, and premium seating with name displayed on the table and in the program.
Individual tickets to the reception, dinner, and lecture are $200, and dinner and lecture tickets are $100.
