Southern Arkansas University Theatre is set to perform “Antigone” at Harton Theatre from November 8-17, 2018.
The nightly shows, Thursday-Saturday night shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the Saturday-Sunday matinees, on November 11 and November 17, begin at 2:00 p.m. There will be an actor talk-back following both Saturday night shows. Some roles have been double cast and different performers will play those roles on alternating performances.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, online at www.showtix4u.com, or by calling (870) 235-4255. General admission tickets are $17; $12 for SAU faculty, staff, and senior citizens; and $8 for students. There are also new options available for season subscriptions.

Written by acclaimed French playwright Jean Anouilh and translated to English by Lewis Galantiere, “Antigone” is based on the Sophocles play of the same name. it focuses on a young woman who is faced with the moral dilemma of following the law decreed by her Uncle Creon, the king, or doing what she believes will provide justice for her family.
