Two activities are planned for Monday, Feb. 13, at Southern Arkansas University that will recognize the importance of healthy relationships and pledge against physical and psychological abuse.
At 11 a.m., SAU President Dr. Trey Berry and his wife, Dr. Katherine Berry, will launch the signing of “Mule-N-Tine” cards that include a commitment to strong relationships. Members of the campus community are invited regardless of their relationship status. The activity will take place in the foyer of the Reynolds Community Center.
At 7 p.m., “Redefining Badass: A Radical Rethinking,” hosted by Michael Cameron, will take place in Foundation Hall of the Reynolds Center. Cameron, CEO of one of Canada’s top mortgage brokerages, will address “a society that seems to continue to push the stereotypical, unrealistic, hyper-masculine values that have been passed on from generation to generation,” and “the perils of this cultural mentality.” The entire campus community is invited to attend.
Mule-N-Tine Day activities are sponsored by the Title IX Leadership Team.
