Wear your patriotic colors and join Southern Arkansas University’s annual Veterans Day tribute from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.
The event will be held at the Reynolds Center, Grand Hall, on the University campus.
The SAU President’s Ambassadors will provide shuttle services from the parking area as needed.
Scheduled to speak at the tribute is SAU President Dr. Trey Berry.
Colors will be posted and retired by the 1-153 Infantry Battalion Color Guard from Hope, Arkansas.
Inspiring entertainment will be provided by talented SAU students.
Keely Stofer will play the National Anthem on the Oboe.
SAU student Devin Sipes, of the SAU Band, will perform “Taps.” The SAU Brass Quintet will perform the “Armed Forces Salute.” The members of the Brass Quintet are: Devin Sipes, Trumpet; Sarah Fincher, Trumpet; Renee Jorgensen, Horn; Raechel Settlemoir, Trombone; and Cyrus Tucker, Tuba.
Encore, a singing and dancing troupe at Southern Arkansas University, will perform as well as soloist Dalicia Torrence, a freshman at SAU majoring in business and a member of the choir.
A lunch reception will follow the program.
