Many people will find themselves in a situation where they must eat in front of potential employers or colleagues, whether it’s during an interview or at a function after they’ve gotten the job. It is important to know the rules related to proper dining etiquette. The last thing you want to do is steal your boss’s dessert or drink from his or her glass. Etiquette is inherently logical and the underlying process is to make everyone feel comfortable. If you’re hosting an event and your guests aren’t comfortable, then you’re doing something wrong. Knowing the rules of dining etiquette will help you feel comfortable and make a positive impression on your interviewers, associates, and friends. Dinner will be served.
