The Upward Bound program at Southern Arkansas University will present a musical production, “The Magical Land of Oz,” at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2015, in Harton Theater.
This family-friendly comedy will keep you in stitches throughout the play. The public is cordially invited to travel to “The Magical Land of Oz” with the SAU UB program. Admission is free, so bring the entire family for a night of fun and laughter.
The play is written by Tim Kelley, with music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur. It is directed by Larry Dunn, director of Choral Activities for Magnolia School District.
When Dorothy’s house squashes the Wicked Witch of the East, she and her dog Toto set out on the adventure that has charmed millions. With her friends, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion and Tin Woodsman, this remarkable journey takes them to the great Oz… who will only grant them their wishes if they rid the world of the Wicked Witch of the West.
