Southern Arkansas University’s final Mulegating of the season this Saturday will be “Kickin’ Up the Heat” in lieu of fall temperatures with a chili bar and loads of activities for the whole family.
Mulegating, SAU’s version of tailgating, will officially begin at noon at the Welcome Center lawn. Unique to this Mulegating experience will be a free chili bar where guests can enjoy chili dogs or a bowl of chili with all the fixings. For dessert, s’mores will perfectly complete this fall picnic. Free Mulerider toboggans will also be available, while supplies last.
For children, this Mulegating will feature free rides on the “Mule Train,” a bouncy house, face painting, pumpkin painting, and more.
A pep rally featuring the SAU Mulerider Marching Band and the SAU Cheerleaders will be held at 1 p.m. in the center of the Welcome Center lawn. Fans can cross the Alumni Bridge to Wilkins Stadium at 2 p.m. to cheer the Muleriders as they go up against the University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevils for the Fourth Annual Battle of the Timberlands.
Mulegating is an SAU tradition on Mulerider Football game days. It is held under the trees at the SAU Welcome Center lawn and offers free food, fun, and a relaxed atmosphere to visit with members of the Mulerider family, including alumni and friends of SAU, students, faculty and staff. Everyone is welcome, including anyone looking to find out more or reconnect to SAU and the Muleriders.
