The ceremony will take place at the Business Building fountain, and is free and open to the public.
Luminaries are on sale for $5 to honor loved ones that have been affected by cancer. Purple luminaries will be in memory of our friends and family who had cancer and white luminaries will be for survivors or current fighters. Luminaries will be lit at the ceremony and will remain on display in the Business Building throughout the month of October.

Proceeds from the sale of the luminaries will benefit the Kaylynn Sands family. Kaylynn, 2, is undergoing treatment for ganglioneuroblastoma, a cancer which develops in the nerve tissue. She is the daughter of Anne Sands, cheerleading coach and assistant director of financial aid at SAU.
