
Rep. Darrin L. Williams is serving his second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 36, which includes part of Pulaski County.
During the 88th General Assembly, Williams serves as chair of the House Judiciary Committee. He also serves on the House Rules Committee and the House Committee on Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs. In addition, Rep. Williams is on the Arkansas Legislative Council; the Arkansas Lottery Commission Legislative Oversight Committee; the Code Revision Commission, and the Public School Desegregation Lawsuit Resolution Task Force. For the 87th General Assembly, Rep. Williams served on the Arkansas Lottery Commission Legislative Oversight Committee; the House Committee on Education; the House Judiciary Committee; the House Rules Committee, and the Arkansas Public School Desegregation Lawsuit Resolution Task Force.
Williams is an attorney with Carney Williams, PLLC. A graduate of Little Rock Central High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Hendrix College and he graduated from the Vanderbilt University School of Law. He also attended the Georgetown University Law Center. He was named to the Arkansas Business “40 Under 40” list of influential state business and political leaders, and he was recognized as a Harold Flowers Outstanding Government Lawyer.
In his spare time, Rep. Williams enjoys reading, playing golf, and spending time with his children. -Williams and his wife, Nicole, attend the Church of Christ. They have two sons.
