The Southern Arkansas University Bruce Center has been abuzz with activity since Chick-Fil-A’s long-awaited grand opening and ribbon cutting on Oct. 30. Students and community members alike have lined up to choose from the delicious options on the limited menu.
Preceded by the opening of Subway on campus and followed shortly thereafter with the opening of Grille Works, operated by Aramark Foods, there are food options for every palate.
The new residential restaurants – Subway, Chick-fil-a and Aramark Grille Works, located in the Bruce Center, have become favorite locales and help tremendously with the overflow in the main dining facility, the Blue and Gold Café in Reynolds Center.
The new restaurants offer variety, as well as, provide balanced diet menus for everyone.
The new restaurants supplement the three dining options already on campus, Mule Fuel, Java City and the Blue & Gold Café.
All of the restaurants take declining balance cards, cash and credit cards, but SAU meal plan cards are only accepted in the Blue and Gold Café and at Grille Works, which have options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Grille Works serves Black Angus burgers, Philly steak sandwiches, veggie and turkey burgers and corn dogs. Subway and Chick-fil-a will offer similar traditional menus as their off-campus locations.
“It is a wonderful opportunity to have these additions to our Campus,” said Alain VerBeiren Food services director, “Not only for the students but also the community of Magnolia.”
