Deborah Wilson, assistant professor of psychology, was recently elected to serve on the board of the Women’s Crisis Center of South Arkansas, a nonprofit agency that provides services in a six county area. Wilson will serve as board chair and on the executive and personnel committees.
Deborah Wilson, assistant professor of psychology and licensed psychological examiner, accompanied 18 students to Rivendell Behavioral Health Systems in Benton for a “lunch and learn” on the topic Bipolar Disorder: Myths and Facts. The group was comprised of students from across disciplines including psychology, social work, nursing and the graduate counseling program. Each attendee was awarded continuing education credit. Rivendell sponsors the lunch and learns on a quarterly basis. This was Wilson’s second time to attend with SAU students.
Kimberly Keith, director of Community Connections in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences, received the 2011 Outstanding Service Award from HEALTH Coalition of Columbia County. HEALTH’s mission is to Help Everyone Achieve Long Term Health in Columbia County. She serves on the executive committee of HEALTH and wrote grants for the organization which resulted in the Building Healthy Communities award from the Arkansas Coalition for Obesity Prevention and Substance Abuse Prevention mini-grants.
The article “Aligning Marketing Strategies throughout the Supply Chain to Enhance Performance” by Dr. Ken Green, professor of management, Dewayne Whitten from Texas A&M University, and Tony Inman from Louisiana Tech University has been accepted for publication in Industrial Marketing Management. Analyzing data from a sample of U.S. manufacturers, the authors found that the alignment of marketing strategies by supply chain partners throughout the supply chain is positively associated with supply chain performance and that supply chain performance is positively associated with organizational performance.
The article “Green Supply Chain Management Practices: Impact on Performance” by Dr. Ken Green, professor of management, Dr. Jeramy Meacham, assistant professor of management, and Dr. Vikram Bhadauria, assistant professor of management information system, along with Pam Zelbst from Sam Houston State University has been accepted for publication in Supply Chain Management: An International Journal. Analyzing data from a sample of U.S. manufacturers, they found that the implementation of green supply chain management practices leads to both improved environmental performance and organizational performance.
