This Broadway hit is a composite of Neil Simon and Anton Checkhov. In one sketch, a harridan storms a bank and upbraids the manager for his gout and lack of money. In another sketch, a crafty seducer goes to work on a wedded woman, only to realize that the woman has been in command from the first overture. The stories are droll, the portraits affectionate, the humor infectious and the fun unending.
The play is directed by Matthew Wise, a junior from Gassville. The cast includes Caleb Carrier, a freshman from El Dorado; Nevin Edmundson, a freshman from Marshall, Texas; Amanda Cannon, a junior from Drasco; Dedra Joiner, a senior from DeQueen; and Christian Williams, a sophomore from Hope. The stage manager is Kaylee Vance, a sophomore from Texarkana, and the assistant stage manager is Lauren Hardy, a junior from Magnolia.
