MAGNOLIA –Students in Free Enterprise at Southern Arkansas University has initiated The Mulerider Pantry, a food pantry designed to assist SAU students who are single parents.
The Mulerider Pantry provides various food supplies as well as diapers and other items to assist students who would benefit from such support. The pantry will open on Tuesday, April 12, from 5-7 p.m., in the Bruce Center, room 201. In the future, the pantry will be open from 5-7 p.m., every other Tuesday for the remainder of the academic year.
The only requirement for obtaining support from the pantry is a valid student ID card.
The pantry was made possible through the support of many individuals and sponsors. Just this week, Campbell’s Soup donated approximately 1,000 pounds of food to the pantry.
For additional information or to donate to the pantry, contact project team leader Michelle Burns at 235-5169 or email SIFE at sife@saumag.edu.
