MAGNOLIA – The Veterans Resource Center and the Student Veterans Association at Southern Arkansas University are planning a Veterans Day program to begin at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11. The program will take place in front of Harton Theatre on the SAU campus.
SAU President Dr. David Rankin and the president of the Student Veterans Association will make brief remarks as students, faculty, staff and community members pay tribute to the service of our nation’s veterans. A moment of silence will be followed by the playing of “Taps” by a member of the SAU band.
Representatives from military branches, area veterans’ organizations and SAU support programs will have information tables set up in the Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center plaza from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. In case of rain, the tables will be set up in the Reynolds Center lobby, and the tribute will be held in Foundation Hall.
