MAGNOLIA — The College of Business at Southern Arkansas University recently sponsored its annual “Classroom to Careers” day. The event is designed to provide students an opportunity to interact with recent graduates who are now full-time members of the workforce.
The “Classroom to Careers Conference” began in 1978 under Southern Arkansas University President Dr. David Rankin who was then dean of the College of Business. The program has morphed over the years in an effort to meet the needs of current students, and according to Dr. Lisa Toms, current dean of the College of Business, it will remain a part of the College’s to give students a chance to hear from former students who have gone on to have successful careers in their fields.
