The Rosemary Rhea Regional Arts in Education Center and Galley, Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia will open an Exhibition, “Art, the Balance of Life” on February 6, 2009.
The exhibit will include a variety of works from Magnolia High School art instructor Laurie Hicks and her students known as the Magnolia Panther Painters and Sculptors. The group will be honored with a reception from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., February 12. The exhibit will be open through March 6, 2009 in the Rosemary Rhea Regional Arts in Education Center Gallery, first floor of the Magale building.
The Panther Painters and Sculptors include:
• Drawing and Sculpture students are: Gavin Alexander, Ashley Bane, Rachel Brantley, Katie Ellis, Preston, Faircloth. Elizabeth Givens, Breanna Griffith, Jacoby Hildreth, Carley Jackson, Michael Mallory, Megan Morrison, Auz Patrick, Heather Patterson, Jacob Pyle, Shelby Thornton, Kayla Whiddon, Chawnea Wise, Lauren Pencik.
• AP art students are: Audriana Brandt, Christen Correa, Carmello Guzman, Eric Castillo, Ashley Lawrence, Coby Williams, Travis Arnold, Sadie Bryan, Jared Melton.
• Art II students are: Jessica Arnold, Briana Howell, Jay Miller, Ariel Pointfield, Tarah Sanders, LeeAnna Warlick.
• Art I spring semester selected works
The Rosemary Rhea Regional Arts in Education Center Gallery is located in The Teaching/Learning Center, first floor of the Magale Building. The Gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The public is invited to attend the reception on February 12, 2009 as well as the on-going exhibition.
