Now is the time for students to begin working on their college financial aid applications. There’s a program in Arkansas called College Goal Sunday that students need to know about.
College Goal Sunday is a free program to help students and their families fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the college financial aid application. At 2 p.m., Sunday, February 22, volunteers from Southern Arkansas University’s Office of Financial Aid will be available in the Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center to help students complete the FAFSA.
Volunteers want to make sure that the process of applying for financial aid does not become an obstacle that would prevent anyone from going to college. By attending College Goal Sunday, students and family members will know they have tackled one of the most important steps in getting ready to go to college.
Arkansas College Goal Sunday is co-sponsored by the Arkansas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and the Arkansas Department of Higher Education.
