A come and go reception for local businesses will be held from 4 to 5: 30 p.m., Thursday, August 6, in the Farmers Bank & Trust Café.
The reception will allow local business leaders to learn more about a giving opportunity for the 2009 Farmers Bank & Trust Distinguished Speaker Series which is a joint effort with Southern Arkansas University.
Opportunities for businesses to help promote their business as well as raise money for scholarships through this event by sponsoring tables will be addressed.
The dinner and lecture for this year is scheduled for October 19 when Ehud Olmert, one of the most influential and respected leaders in Israel’s history, will speak at SAU. Olmert’s speech, the fifth of its kind, begins with a private reception from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Farmers Bank & Trust. The dinner and presentation will follow at 7 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center at SAU.
Tickets are $100 to attend the dinner and lecture and $200 to attend the dinner and lecture as well as attend a private reception where you can have a photo taken with Olmert. Proceeds benefit the SAU Foundation.
