The College of Business Internship Program continues to grow, averaging almost 40 interns each year for the past six years. Internships are a regular part of the College of Business, are offered every semester including the summer and can be included in the hours for graduation in every major degree plan. The internships provided can be local, on-campus, in other cities and states, or virtual.
Participating in accounting internships in the fall semester were Albi Alikaja with David L. Jordan, CPA; Sarah Anyieth with the Department of Finance at SAU; Brooke Grigsby with South Arkansas Youth Service, Incorporated; and Andrea Williams with Evers, Cox, and Gober, PLLC of El Dorado.
Finance internships were held by Bridget Hollis with Alan Nolte of Amerprise Financial; Will Martin with Farm Credit Services of Western Arkansas; and Pradeep Sapkota with William P. Cook and Associates, PLLC of Camden.
Those participating in management internships included Vicki Butler with the Southern Arkansas University Communications Center, Web Division; Ashley Dixon with Serenity Day Spa and Tanning Salon; April Jones with Quality Inn of Magnolia; Amanda McAlexander with First Bank of the South in Camden; Demesha McFee with Finishline in Little Rock; Ozair Mukhtar with Allison’s Candle Corner; Josh Phillips with Oreilly Auto Parts; and Matthew Sanders with Walgreens in Flint, Michigan.
Students participating in marketing internships included Rakesh Karn with Holiday Inn Express and Suites; David Nance and Kaitlyn Walthall with The Shoe Box; Amber Sharp with the Vice President of Student Affairs at SAU; and Adam Warbington with Sherwin-Williams. Benton Cater held a management information systems internship with the Magnolia Economic Development Corporation.
