MAGNOLIA, Ark. –The new Mulerider Study Lounge, located in the former upstairs game room of the Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center, is now open and ready for students.
The new study lounge–open to all students during Reynolds Center hours–has eight computers connected to a printer, two separate study rooms ideal for group meetings, and commuter lockers. The commuter lockers allow students commuting to SAU daily to check out a key and have a convenient, secure place for items unnecessary for class. Comfortable chairs, couches, and tables make a “good, quiet, focused environment,” said Bailey Jo Simpson, one of the student workers who will be available if help is needed.
“The physical plant has been doing some repairs and painting but they are now finished,” said Anne Marie Sharp, director of the Reynolds Center. “Not too many students are currently utilizing it (the lounge) but I think it is because they just don’t know it’s there.”
Students are encouraged to go by the Reynolds Center and take advantage of the new Mulerider Study Lounge and all that it offers.
