The Office of Development and the Communications Center at Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, recently received awards during the annual Council for Advancement and Support of Education conference held in Oklahoma City, Okla.
The SAU Foundation was honored with the Grand Award for Most Improved Annual Fund. This is the top award in the region for this category.
The Foundation and Communications Center were both recognized when they were awarded the Silver Award for the annual report in the category World Wide Web Page.
The SAU Foundation’s Annual Report is available to donors on the website.
“We decided to post the annual report online to save costs and expedite delivery to our donors,” said Art Horne, director of the SAU Foundation.
CASE is the professional organization for advancement professionals at all levels who work in alumni relations, communications, and development. Membership includes more than 3,200 colleges, universities, and independent elementary and secondary schools in 55 countries around the world. The group serves more than 38,000 advancement professionals on the staffs of member institutions and have more than 22,000 professional members on its roster.
CASE helps its members build stronger relationships with their alumni and donors, raise funds for campus projects, produce recruitment materials, market their institutions to prospective students, diversity the profession, and foster public support of education. It also offers a variety of advancement products and services, provides standards and an ethical framework for the profession, and works with other organizations to respond to public issues of concern, while promoting the importance of education worldwide.
