MAGNOLIA, ARK – A special series of Russian lectures has been scheduled for this fall at Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia.
Visiting Russian professor, Dr. Pervezentseva Oksana from the Moscow State Pedagogical University, will speak in a series of five lectures. The first lecture, “Russian Customs and Traditions” will be held on Monday, Sept. 12.
Oksana teaches in the Phonetics Division in the Department of Foreign Languages at her university and specializes in English phonetics. She currently teaches English practice to junior students and gives lectures in theoretical phonetics of the English language.
Other lectures in the series include the following:
Sept. 26 – “Some Glimpses of a Russian Provincial City.”
Oct. 10 – “Sport in Russia.”
Oct. 24 – “Life of Immigrants in Russia.”
Nov. 7 – “Patterns of Leisure in Russia.”
