Dr. Beverly Oswalt, associate professor of management information systems at Southern Arkansas University, was recently elected president of the Association of Business Information Systems for 2005-06.
ABIS held its annual meeting at the Federation of Business Disciplines Conference in Dallas, Texas, from March 1-5.
Oswalt served as vice president/program chair during 2004-05. ABIS had a 70 percent increase in paper submissions and a 32 percent increase in attendance under Oswalt’s leadership as program chair for the 2005 conference. She also served as secretary/treasurer for 2003-04.
Oswalt joined the College of Business at SAU in fall 2003. She earned her B.S. from Lambuth University and her M.Ed. and Ed.D. from the University of Memphis.
