Entegra Power Group LLC recently completed a three-year gift totaling $300,000 to the Reynolds Restricted Fund for the Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center located on the campus of Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia.
“The faithfulness of good corporate citizens like Entegra made possible the completion of the Reynolds Center, which is one of the most important and impressive public facilities constructed in southern Arkansas in this generation,” said Dr. David Rankin, president of SAU.
Rankin and Art Horne, director of the SAU Foundation, received the final gift from William (Bill) F. O’Brien, plant manager of the Union Power Station in El Dorado.
“The Reynolds Center is the beautiful new heart of our campus,” said Rankin. “It serves our students and the community in ways we have dreamed of for a very long time.”
The Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center, opened in 2004, was constructed with a gift of $12.3 million from the Reynolds Foundation in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gifts and pledges from individuals, businesses, and charities were combined to fund the required restricted fund in order to activate the grant.
The Reynolds Center houses student services and a unique community center providing offices for a number of not-for-profit groups. The Reynolds Center also can accommodate large public gatherings.
