Ramona Wood, center, is the November featured artist of theDepartment of Art and Design at Southern Arkansas University.
Wood’s exhibition shows the process that she took from the preliminary sketches to the cut paper and fabric illustrations in her book “Now Catlin Can:A donated organ helps a child get well.”
The book is based on a true story of a child whose life was transformed after receiving a kidney from a teen in 2002
Wood received recognition from the National Museum of Women in the Arts for her 2001 book, “The Goat Woman of Smackover: An Arkansas Legend.”
