Mulerider Express is a program sponsored by Southern Arkansas University Student Affairs that provides transportation for students, faculty, and staff who do not have other means to nearby Magnolia locations, such as the SAU on The Square, Walmart, Brookshires, and University Plaza Shopping Center.
Scheduled Route
- Operated during fall and spring semesters only, with limitations around student breaks, holidays, and times when the University is closed
- Monday through Wednesday: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Last van leaves lot at 4 p.m.)
- Thursday 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. (Last van leaves lot at 7 p.m.)
- Friday: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Last van leaves lot at 4 p.m.)
- Campus pickup and drop off location will be at the top of the hour in the Brinson parking lot, just south of the Donald W. Reynolds Center
Mulerider Express appointments are not available during the summer semesters but will resume in August 2025.
By Appointment
- Monday through Friday year-round, with limitations around holidays and when the University is closed
- Trips in town must be scheduled 4+ business hours in advance
- Trips out of town must be scheduled 48+ business hours in advance
- Service available for doctors’ appointments and pharmacy trips inside city limits
- Service for out-of-town appointments require additional staffing and may not always be available
- The Mulerider Express will NOT pickup or dropoff from private residences with prior approval from the program director.
