Dr. Connie Wilson received her bachelor’s degree in English education and master’s degree in Secondary Education from Southern Arkansas University. She received her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Louisiana Tech University. Currently, Dr. Wilson is the Dean for the School of Graduate Studies. Before becoming Dean, she was an Associate Professor and directed the Educational Leadership in Administration and Supervision (EDAS) program at SAU. Prior to her time at SAU, she worked in Louisiana as an English teacher and Assistant Principal. She is a past recipient of the Spirit of SAU Award; SAU Student Affairs Director’s Choice Award; Broadmoor Middle Laboratory School Teacher of the Year in Shreveport, Louisiana; Cope Middle School Teacher of the Year in Bossier City, Louisiana; Bossier Parish Middle School Teacher of the Year in Bossier Parish; National Council of Teachers of English Leadership Development Award; and Fellowship of Christian Athletes Huddle Sponsor of the Year. She has publications in Science and Children Journal and READ: Reading, Exploration, and Discovery.
