Biography
A native of the Lone Star State, Pickard has five years of experience from both Stephen F. Austin State University and Ouachita Baptist University. While in Nacogdoches, Texas (at SFA), he worked as a Graduate Assistant for Strategic Communications. In this role, he assisted with game day operations for Stephen F. Austin’s 18 varsity sports teams, maintained the athletics website, and designed and published game notes and media guides for the athletics teams.
Before his time in Texas, Jackson gained valuable experience in athletic communications while working as a student assistant in the athletic department at Ouachita Baptist University. In this role, he assisted the Tigers’ athletic department by handling tasks such as public announcing, scorekeeping, and operating NCAA live statistics. Jackson, who is from Georgetown, Texas, learned many of the skills he would later develop at SFA during his time at Ouachita Baptist University.
